Product Story
This is the basket the workshop sells most of at local markets. The handle is bent from a single length of green bamboo while still flexible, then bound to the rim at both ends and left to set.
Crafted in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, Northeast India.
Craftsmanship & Process
An open market basket with a tall arch handle wrapped in cane. The base is woven tight to hold small produce while the sides open into a hexagonal lattice that keeps the basket light.
